Brand & Packaging Design for Natural Skincare Brand

This passion project needed a fresh, standout identity. So I threw the rulebook out the window (gently) and reimagined natural skincare branding with neon pastels, hand-drawn details, and a modern, luxe feel. The result? A bold, challenge-winning concept that proves "natural" doesn’t have to mean "boring."

The Challenge to solve:

Oryn Skincare, a natural skincare brand, needed a visually striking yet authentic brand identity that would stand out in an oversaturated market. The challenge? Avoiding clichéd "earthy" aesthetics while maintaining a sense of nature, purity, and ingredient-led storytelling. The project required a handcrafted logotype, innovative packaging design, and a web presence that felt both artistic and professional.

My strategic solution:

To bring Oryn Skincare to life, I started by exploring over 100 custom logo variations, using ballpoint pens, calligraphy, acrylic paint, and gouache to develop a truly hand-drawn identity. The final logotype was fine-tuned in Illustrator for precision and balance while preserving its organic, handcrafted feel.

For the packaging, I leaned away from traditional "neutral and green" skincare tones and instead built a fresh, contemporary palette of neon pastels — each shade inspired by key natural ingredients. To add depth, I incorporated black and embossed details for a luxe, tactile experience.

The website concept was designed in Figma, aligning with the Baseline Shopify theme to ensure a smooth transition from design to development. Every detail was considered to blend storytelling with an intuitive user experience, encouraging discovery and purchase.

The Oryn Skincare brand concept was selected as a finalist by Brief Club and later voted as the top entry by their audience of 171K followers. The final brand identity balances authenticity, innovation, and aesthetic appeal, proving that natural skincare branding doesn’t have to be predictable.
