SEO Showdown Case Study: Setagaya Yoga Studio
Here’s the deal… I used to think having an SEO-optimised website and getting leads from Google was impossible, until I cracked the code.
I set up my website to follow best practices and designed it to actually convert. Then, I started blogging and driving more traffic through IG and Pinterest. As I tested strategies on my own site and saw real results for my clients, I knew I could help other business owners escape the SEO struggle, too.
That’s when the idea for my done-WITH-you SEO service was born! But first—beta testing.
Meet Lindsey (and her cat Louis) from Setagaya Yoga Studio!
Her audit happened back in October ‘24, and here’s what went down.
The SEO Challenge
Lindsey, the owner of Setagaya Yoga Studio, had been running her business for 10 years but struggled to attract consistent new clients through her website. She had a beautifully designed DIY Squarespace site but wasn’t seeing results. She needed more traffic, more inquiries, and a site that actually converted.
The SEO Showdown Process
Step 1: Strategy Call
We started with a deep dive into Lindsey’s website goals and pain points. Understanding her vision was key to tailoring the SEO strategy to her business.
Step 2: SEO Audit & Keyword Research
I conducted a full SEO audit, identifying gaps in her keywords, site structure, and technical SEO. We found opportunities to optimise her site for local searches and high-intent keywords.
Some of the key changes identified in her report:
Simplifying the wording of her main navigation to make it crystal clear where the pages led to
Updating URLs to include keywords
Introducing more keywords into H1s on each page
Including call-to-actions on each page (encouraging users to take that next step)
Making the footer full of juicy links and more info
Updating Meta titles and descriptions to include identified keywords
Step 3: Lindsey Implemented The Changes
Lindsey received a step-by-step SEO roadmap to implement key changes—ensuring her website was set up to rank better and convert visitors into paying clients.
Armed with her Google Doc, and walkthrough Loom video with my lovely mug explaining the steps, Lindsey implemented the changes to her site.
Step 4: Support Time
We actually had this in person, which was such a delight! I helped Lindsey with a few technical questions she had, and checked over the changes she’d made.
The Results
Two weeks later:
Lindsey was already seeing results, with multiple new inquiries coming in—something that had never happened before.
Three months later:
Lindsey was getting at least 2-4 new client inquiries every week. Her site is no longer just a pretty page–it’s actually driving business growth.
Here’s what she said about the SEO audit
(I SWEAR I didn’t pay her to say this)…
