Brand & Web Design for Hawkes Bay Caravan company
Smile Caravans
Smile Caravans is a caravan parts and repairs company based in the Hawkes Bay, NZ, focusing on their online eCommerce store for all things caravans.
The father-son duo started their business 20 years ago, mostly as a repairs shop, and have since transitioned to become one of the leading caravan parts dealers in NZ. Working with DIY branding and a Wordpress website since they started, they were struggling to grow the online side of the business.
The problem to solve:
Their DIY website and branding was holding them back from sales growth and brand awareness. The user experience, and visual design of their website wasn’t showing their business in the best way possible, as well as not having all of the functionality to manage their growing product range.
The solution:
We refreshed their branding, while still honouring the ‘smiling caravan’ that their regular customers know and love. Positioning their brand values and colours apart from their competitors, we highlighted their value proposition of honesty, affordability, and transparency. Moving Smile Caravans to Shopify with a paid theme, we created a website with easy user experience for their customers to navigate and find the products they need.
The results:
3-months post launch, Smile Caravans is already making double their monthly revenue than before we launched their new branding and website. We’ve increased their website conversion rate to 2.9% (average eCommerce is 2.35%), with no paid advertising on google or social media channels.

“Ruth has done an amazing job getting to know us as a business…
and then helped us with rebranding and created a website that was best suited for our business which we are very happy with. Will certainly be using her services in the future. Highly recommend, easy going friendly personality, enjoyed working with her throughout the design process!”
